The practice provides a variety of special clinics as follows. Appointments can be made through the receptionist in the usual way.
Ischaemic Heart Disease
The treatment room is open from 8am to 6pm. Our nursing team are Cheryl Richardson, Sandra Shaw and Health Care Assistant, Jo Johnson.
They carry out treatments prescribed by the doctor and are able to treat minor injuries and give advice on general health care.
Appointments are needed with the nurse for cervical smears, well person clinics, dressings, blood tests, vaccinations and immunisations, and new patient check-ups.
Our nurses have received additional training to help them help you look after your health and are available to discuss any problems regarding your health.
Their duties will routinely include:
Health checks and advice
Childhood immunisations (see also Child Health page)
Management of diet and weight loss
Diabetes, asthma, heart disease blood pressure review
Dressings, stitch removal, ear syringing
Family planning and sexual health advice (including cervical smear tests)
Travel injections and advice (see Travel page)
Smoking cessation clinics .
Please make an appointment between 8.30am and 6.00pm.
Medical examinations for special purposes - for example elderly drivers, HGV/PSV, insurance examinations, pre-employment medicals, etc. - are not carried out during normal surgery hours.
A special appointment is required and a fee will be payable.
